God...
No one knows what God “looks like” because God is invisible and doesn’t have a physical body as we do. But we can learn about God and see what Gods acts like by learning about His Son, Jesus. In the Bible we can read about how Jesus lived, how He treated people, and what He taught. That’s what God is like.
KEY VERSE: John 14:9
How was God created?
God was not created; He has always existed. This is impossible for us to understand because everything else we know about has a beginning and an end. But God had no beginning, and He has no end. He always was, and He always will be.
Imagine going on a deep-sea dive and being able to talk to the fish at the bottom of the sea. Imagine trying to explain to the fish what life is like for humans above the surface of the water and on land. The fish would not be able to understand, no matter how hard you tried to explain it. Everything he knows is in the water. You can breathe air and walk on the land, but the fish knows nothing about that. So the fish thinks it’s silly or impossible.
That is the way it is with God. God created everything we know, including time. Beginnings and endings are limitations of our world, but not of God. That is one of the great things about Him—He is so much greater than we are!
KEY VERSES: John 1:1-3
Does God see everything that we do?
Yes, God sees everything we do, both good and bad. We can’t hide from Him. God is happy when we do what is right and sad when we do wrong. God can reward us for doing what’s right, even when no one else knows about it.
KEY VERSES: Job 34:21-22
